In the midst of a tremendously successful national tour, Russ Parr, the hilarious host of the nationally syndicated Russ Parr Morning Show, is bringing his new movie 35 & Ticking, starring Kevin Hart, Nicole Ari Parker, Tamala Jones and Keith Robinson, to Detroit on July 8 to screen at the Bel Air 10 theater.

Written and directed by Parr, 35 & Ticking is a comedic look at the lives of four friends who all grew up together and are approaching, reached or exceeded the age of 35.  Victoria is married to a man who doesn’t want to have children, while Zenobia is looking for a man to start a family. Cleavon is too geeky to get a woman to have children and Phil is already married with children to a woman who is not interested in being a mother. 35 & Ticking explores the heartache in battling that biological clock.

“As a filmmaker, it is very gratifying to have an idea in your head, and watch it unfold in front of the camera with a talented cast and crew,” said Parr. “I’m really excited to see this project on the big screen, especially when so few Black films are being made in Hollywood. It’s so important that the community support not only my film, but all the independent Black filmmakers who are trying to tell great stories, which truly reflect our slice of life as African American people.”

The Bel Air 10 Theater is located at 10100 E. 8 Mile Rd in Detroit. For ticket information please call 313-438-3494.
